Supraland is Fun

I think I'm going to try and finish Supraland for my Let's Play stuff before I get to other things. I'm just a little hooked on that game right now. I like how it doesn't feel like a chore to explore off the beaten path and the game overall has this charm to it. It's not super realistic in terms of graphics, but not all games need to be.

I don't really know how much longer I have before I beat the game, but I keep getting powerups left and right, and I keep getting different abilities, like super long jumping with the supraball.

So yeah, I think I'll keep on continuing this for now.

Streaming issues

The main issue I have isn't a technical one. The main issue is that When I get the feeling to stream, I can't really decide on what to stream so I just end up not streaming. I would go into the day thinking of streaming one game, but then when I look at my list, I think, "hey this might be a fun stream game as well" and I keep going through the options thinking that other games might be fun as well. A few moments pass and then I end up not streaming. There are a few solutions - to stream all of them and dividing my time within each game, or stream a different game for each day that I would stream.

I'll figure out something eventually lol.. Hopefully by May or during May.

"Automated" content check

So apparently my Friday the 13th Killer Puzzle guide keeps getting flagged as "This item is awaiting analysis by our automated content check system" even though it has no harmful content and never had that ever. All I have on the guide are youtube videos and a link to the playlist that has all the videos of the daily death solutions. What's more annoying is that this 'automated' system seems to take a few days. The first one took a few days, then everything seemed fine. Then I updated the date and then the notice popped up again. It really doesn't make any sense as to why it does that and why it takes so long..

(Re)Starting new games!

I started two games to record, one of them being No Man's Sky. I recorded some in the past, but decided to do it again since there has been a lot of content added since then. I haven't forgotten about some of the other games I haven't finished (like Chrono Trigger), and I will eventually get to them.

I also started Supraland, and how haven't I heard about this game? I had it on my Steam library, probably through a bundle or something, but it seems really fun! I might do a full series on it, but I keep getting side tracked since the world is so open, but contained within a sandbox (that I know of, anyways).

Adjusting to the new hours

So with the new time change at work, it feels like it is going faster, though I don't know if I will be saying this when the weekend comes around lol..

I do have more time after work, but it seems like I would take a nap sometime after work... hopefully I'll adjust so that I don't feel like that, since I want to try and stream and/or record stuff in the extra time per day and be productive.

I recently got a few VR games, and hopefully I will be able to record them as well.. no idea on how to record my voice... maybe use the Quest 2 onboard mic? Not sure how good that is though.

Hopefully I will be able to record VR since that will be another avenue to try and make videos in.

Thinking about the schedule change

So it seems like there hasn't been any new news about the schedule change at work and it's going along as planned. I have been thinking about it and I feel like it could let me stream daily on Twitch for at least an hour. I don't know how that will effect my uploads on Youtube, but I might ease that if it means I can stream. I might just do older games, though I still want to do Hylics 2... Maybe on Youtube?

Just random thinking for now..

Schedule might change in the near future

So it seems that the idea at work is to shift from 4 10-hour shifts to 5 8-hour shifts, with the start time being earlier, and then we will end earlier. This means I could do the Friday the 13th Killer Puzzle earlier and closer to the day change than I have done now. However this means that I will be working Friday so I don't really know how that will effect my recording schedule yet. I was planning on starting to stream as well, but I could always move that to another day in the weekend.

The change isn't immediate - it will be in 2 weeks, but it is up in the air so it could change. Doesn't seem like it, but it could change.

Weekly Update

I really want to go back to some of the older games that I played before, like No Man's Sky. I even want to do an update to The Crew 2 and see how much it changed since launch. Then there are the newer, unplayed games that I want to try out. Just a matter of having the time over the weekend, and when to upload. If I had more time to record, I still would want to limit myself to one a day, since I believe the algorithm changed so it doesn't really benefit if I do multiple a day, but who knows? I wonder if I will ever have the time to do 2 a day lol... Then I definitely won't have time to stream if that is the case, which I do want to stream. I just need to find the right time and games. There is Hylics 2, and maybe Loop Hero. Maybe some older stuff as well?

Keycaps arrived!

I ordered some Jelly POM keycaps (maybe imitation?) from Aliexpress not too long ago and they arrived! Much quicker than the 45 estimated days. I only tried a few of them on since I was going to use them on an upcoming mechanical keyboard. It took some effort to put them on and take them off - much more than the HyperX pudding keycaps. The HyperX was smooth to put on but the POMs weren't. Nothing broke while I put them on or took them off so that is good. It also came with a keycap puller that seems better than the one HyperX provided. I don't know if the official ones are more smooth or easier to put on the switches, but these are fine.

February is over

And with that, another month of daily uploads!
That being said, I am thinking about uploading only during the weekdays, while having Sat/Sun be stream days. I am leaning to Youtube Gaming, rather than Twitch, to try it out again. Seeing what happened to Ronnie Radke's stream got me a little annoyed... how are they going to mute his stuff for playing music that he created? Just seems weird. Not to mention the Blizzcon thing with the music.

Why can't I do both? Mainly because I would be streaming at times I would be normally uploading my videos. Uploading takes some bandwidth, and I can't really do both. I tried before and it was a mess.

Hylics 2 is a game I really want to stream, rather than record. It just seems like it is *that* kind of game to get live reactions for. Also have some others, like maybe continuing some MMOs like Guild Wars 2 and World of Warcraft. I still need to finish Borderlands 3 as well. Maybe some racing stuff.

I guess until I finally decide to do so, I will just continue uploading stuff daily to my Youtube. Slay the Spire has been pretty fun and challenging, and I've been also doing Honkai, and some random ones for the weekend/whenever. I wish it could be every other day, alternating with Slay the Spire, but Slay the Spire has been drawing my attention currently. I was thinking about Valheim, but that feels more like a streaming game or a heavily edited video, since it would just be a lot of gathering.

Well I guess that's it for this post/update. Don't really know what else to add.

Slay the Spire is pretty fun

Seems like Slay the Spire has taken over Hades in my lineup. I'm liking it, and each deck feels unique. I haven't unlocked the 4th one yet, so I don't know how that one plays, but the other 3 are interesting. I really want to continue Hades, though I probably will do that on my own time. I think I might do Honkai Impact 3rd weekly, though don't know how long each video will be. I think I'll play it by week.

So far so good in putting out a video a day. I think I will be able to finish February with this steady progress (not counting the Friday the 13th videos).

I have also been playing some Project CARS 3 on my own after doing the initial video. It's alright, but like I mentioned in the video - it really shouldn't have been called Project CARS 3.

I still want to do short review videos like I did in the past again, but I'll have to go through my extensive library to see which ones I should do.

Recordings and stuff

Surprisingly, it wasn't too bad recording while on the Blackwidow v3. It's not quiet by any means, but at least RTX voice does a good job of canceling that sound out. Sometimes there's some noise that passes it, but it's faint at best.

I've also started to play Slay the Spire... Wondered why I haven't played it until now. It seems pretty fun. Also seems similar to a recent demo I tried - Roguebook, made by the Faeria devs and also by Richard Garfield. I liked the demo, though I got my butt handed to me. Didn't know that it was (or seems like) inspired by Slay the Spire.

Also started Honkai Impact 3rd. I recorded some Genshin Impact stuff before, but didn't really continue on that. Honkai seems like I can do short stints, but can do longer ones if I wanted to, so it seems a little bit better.

Got a few games during the New Years event on Steam, so I may or may not get to play them soon, with my library size.

Keyboards and stuff

This week I upgraded my keyboard to the Razer Blackwidow V3! My first true mechanical keyboard. Thanks to youtube, I've been binging DIY mechanical keyboard videos and it seems like a pricey hobby, but I wanted to tip my toes in it. So I reserved a starter kit lol. Was looking around and found the GMMK Pro. No soldering, but at least I can use whatever switches and keycaps (to an extent). Also that makes me wonder if I should lube the switches... It technically is 'better' for the most part, but it is also very time consuming based on the videos I have seen.

Regardless, I plan on trying the Blackwidow in my recordings this coming weekend. Hopefully it won't be loud with RTX Voice.
