For the past few days I noticed that the videos I uploaded reverted back to the lesser codec on youtube. Even though the videos I uploaded were 1440p, the highest option I was able to choose when it is available for viewing was 1080p. Don't know if they will bring back that option for the lesser known creators, but that was just a thing that happened randomly... It was going fine for a while too.

So it's been about 2 weeks since I've been trying the 1440p and it seems to be better, quality wise. Encoding has been taking a little longer, and the file sizes are larger due to the increased resolution but I think the increased quality is worth it. Only thing now is that my racing rig needs a better way to record voice, and that the monitor it uses is lower than 1080p i think, so I think it shows through in those videos maybe.
Thinking of streaming some more other than Borderlands 3, but not quite sure. Tried Fall Guys but that game is slowing grating on me lol. Still fun, but sometimes it's just frustrating.

Changing uploads a little.
Schedule is going to be the same.
I am going to try to record in 1440p. I feel like with my hardware, I could do it without lag or stuttering. I'm testing the waters with it on my Friday the 13th videos, since I can't really record anything else during the week.
I might try upscaling the videos I already recorded to 1440p, though I don't know how much of a quality improvement those will be.

Another day, another thing that happens
I mentioned before that I checked on the video of the song it says I used, and it seems to be a 'cover' or a 'remix' that sounds very similar to the original. Maybe this was done on purpose? But then, why wait exactly a year to claim it? My video was uploaded on July 2, 2019, and was claimed July 3, 2020. A weird coincidence.

Ever since I got my new phone, I've been thinking of wanting to record some mobile gaming, but I dunno if I should since I have a lot on my plate, with Steam sales games and whatnot.

Has it really been 8 months?
To update on that old post:
- I have been playing more Chrono Trigger, albeit sporadically. Other games are taking up my priorities.
- The rest of the games I listed were basically on hold.
I also built a new computer recently! It's almost the same as my VR pc, but a little more better. Also got a new monitor to replace my monitor 1 because of it.
Because of this whole situation, I've been recording and uploading more, though when there is work again, I probably will go back to my previous schedule of uploading a Let's Play every other day just to lighten the load. We'll see though.

Plans and stuff
Things in the future that I want to record:
- more games for the "Let's (try to) Play" series
- Chrono Cross
- Legend of Dragoon
- the Halo series
- the Gears series
- PS4 games (maybe eventually finish God of War)
- Switch games
Am I biting more than I can chew? Probably, but I guess what happens happens.

Mario Maker 2 and other things
I've also thought about it and will go on to the next Game Pass game since Snake Pass was making me annoyed at the controls. It isn't hard like how Super Meat Boy is or games like this. The control scheme in Snake Pass just feels hard to utilize correctly, at least for a controller. You have the trigger to move forward, and one of the 4 main buttons being the thing to lift your head up to climb, with the left joystick being the horizontal movements. This is fine, however, you have some areas where you have to rotate the camera as well, which is the right joystick. If you let go of any other button though, you will fall down and have to redo that area.
I haven't seen what my next Game Pass game will be, since I haven't hit the randomizer yet, but I hope it will be better than Snake Pass.

The musings of a worker bee
Work has been busy lately, which I don't mind. It's work. However there is a person that just makes it irritating. It's clear that the other coworkers don't like his attitude and demeanor as well, but no one can bring it up, since the person will probably act in one of two ways: immature, or pissy.
This person acted like an immature brat when the manager gave them a written warning for breaking 3 tablets within 4 months. The first time, sure, everyone has accidents. The second one made the lcd screen unusable. The third time, the screen got cracked, and they said they thought there was a protector on it...
The person keeps not doing things they are supposed to do and blames others, or claim that they forgot. This is after 2-3 weeks of reminding them.
If I could writeup or give them written warnings, I think I would have a book by now.
But whatever. I just wanted to rant a little. I could go more into the things, but that would take way too much time. I'll just keep on working day by day, and record/stream video games during the weekend.
Monday, May 6, 2019
I think I'm used to my new upload schedule as it's more easier on me to balance work, recording, and free time now, whereas recording/editing would take up the majority of my weekends/days I don't work. The only downside is, is that series will take longer since it's spaced out more, and there are games that I do videos for that will sometimes take priority (due to receiving a key and whatnot).
Hopefully I can incorporate more streaming now, but that will still have to be somewhat planned out.
Recording from the racing rig is kind of tricky, due to only having one monitor for that, but it usually works. I'll probably need to get another monitor (and maybe upgrade the current one since it's a lower resolution than 1080p) if I want to record additional stuff like audio or cam footage.
Sakuracon has passed, and I still have to contact the artists I got the info of for my new banner idea. Basically thinking of how to word it since it might be a little confusing if I word it wrong, or not provide enough detail.
Aside from that, I finished watching That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime. It was pretty interesting, and the episodes never felt like a slog. Can't wait for season 2 though.

Getting Used to the Rig and Whatnot
The racing rig came in two pretty heavy boxes. Took the majority of a day to build it up, but it was sweet. Attached the wheel and it seems to be holding up so far.
Also built a new pc for that rig. It's much better than the one I use to record stuff. Much better.
Hopefully I can record stuff with that rig in the future, but it will be a little odd since there's no second monitor to check on the recording and stuff.
I think I got most of the major games set up to the wheel - Project CARS 2, F1 2018, and Dirt Rally 2. I can't really drive that well, but I say my best would be in Project CARS 2.
On another note, Risk of Rain 2 has been pretty fun, trying to get past stage 2 (as of this post). Can't wait to see what else will be released when it comes out of early access.
